On the occasion of the International Women's Day, communications and information technology minister Kapil Sibal i has inaugurated India's first all-women post office in New Delhi.
The post office has three counters - two offer multi-purpose services like booking of speed post, registration, sale of IPOs, booking of money orders while one counter is for sale of stamps.
"All these counters will now be manned by women employees only. The working hours will be from 9.30 am- 5.30 pm," said an official statement by the ministry.u00a0
