Actors often talk about getting under the skin of a character, the thrill of performing a challenging role. However, it's rare for them to go beyond cursory alterations on stage. In a refreshing departure, 21 year-old Spruha Joshi, who portrays Ananya, a girl who loses her hands in a gruesome accident, learnt to write, cut a cake and pick up a bottle with her feet.
What is it that you like most about Ananya?
The best part about her character is her confidence and her attitude towards people around her. She is very nice at heart. Her basic outlook towards life is very positive. Whatever happens, one should be positiveu00a0-- that's her mottou00a0-- that's why she might be paralysed by the body but not by mind.
