Ailing man burns self on pyre

"The medical history of the deceased showed that he was depressed due to the prolonged illness and had consulted a psychiatrist also telling him that he wanted to commit suicide," said the official.

"Giriraj Sunday collected wood and formed a pyre. He sat on it and poured kerosene on himself and set himself on fire," said the officer.

The villagers rushed to his rescue on seeing the flames but could not save him.
