After the completion of Jundal’s 30-day custody, the Chief Metropolitan Court (CMM) of Delhi yesterday granted the transit custody to the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

The 30-year-old Jundal, associated with the terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), is wanted by the state ATS in connection with three cases – Aurangabad arms haul case, German bakery blast and the Nasik Academy attack. Also, he, among several others, is wanted by the city’s Crime Branch for masterminding the 26/11 terror attack.

The state ATS would produce Jundal before the city’s CMM and the latter would decide whether his custody should be given to the state ATS or the city’s Crime Branch.

Jundal will be brought to the city amid high security and when he lands in Mumbai, the city’s Quick Response Team would be deployed for his custody, informed police sources. u00a0
