Nigerian national jumps off second floor residence to escape the police

A Nigerian national jumped off the second floor of his rented accommodation in Uttam Nagar area of west Delhi when cops conducted a raid to nab him.

Police said that he was taken to Deen Dayal Updhyay Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of the treatment. Cops said his landlord had complained to the police that the Nigerian was involved in supplying drugs in the area. Police had gone to question him regarding this. But seeing the cops he jumped off the second floor.

Meanwhile a police source said that when his landlord complained to the police the cops asked him to lock the door of his tenant's house. The landlord did the same and then alerted the cops.
"Seeing the police the Nigerian got suspicious. He was afraid of being caught and jumped off the second floor," said the police source.

Police said the body had been sent to the mortuary at Deen Dayal Updhyay Hospital for post-mortem.
