The BMC has increased the capacity of the vaccination centres to complete administering the first of two doses of vaccine till February 14.

The vaccination drive had started on January 16 with the capacity to vaccinate 4,000 workers. While the drive was only for four days in the first week, now BMC has increased it to six days a week. The maximum number of healthcare employees visited suburban vaccination centres like Ambedkar hospital at Kandivli and Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar.
At JJ hospital 425 healthcare workers received Covaxin till now. Earlier the response was low, but now the number of healthcare employees seeking vaccinations is increasing in JJ hospital.
