Local train services on Mumbai’s Harbour Line came to an abrupt halt around 4:30 pm on Sunday, disrupting travel between Vashi and Panvel. Operations on this crucial suburban stretch were suspended due to a technical snag reported between Seawoods Darave and Nerul stations.

Both UP and Down line train movements were temporarily stopped, leaving thousands of commuters stranded and causing widespread inconvenience, especially with the evening rush hour approaching.

Railway officials said technical teams were immediately deployed to identify and fix the issue, working to restore services at the earliest. Efforts continued late into the evening to ensure normal operations could resume as soon as possible.
