The Malwani police arrested a 25-year-old woman, Firdosh Khan, on Thursday for forcing her 12-year-old sister into the flesh trade. The woman’s husband, Mohammad Irfan, has also been held for raping the minor at his home in his wife’s absence.

According to cops, two months ago, Khan visited her home at Muradabad and promised her elder brother that she will ensure that their younger sister gets admission in one of the best schools in Mumbai. Once, she brought the minor to Mumbai, she confined her to her residence, where Irfan raped the victim repeatedly. Khan, then, forced the minor into flesh trade.

Two days ago, the victim called up her brother for help, who informed his friend. The man informed cops and rescued the girl. Senior inspector Prakash Patil of Malwani police station said, “The couple has been remanded to custody till Monday.”
