Kurar firing case: Cops book 10 accused under MCOCA

The 10 accused in the Kurar firing case, including Uday Pathak have been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). On February 1, two instances of firing were reported in Kurar village. The first happened at around 1.30 pm at Anand Medical in Bhim Nagar in Kurar while the second incident was reported in Shivaji Nagar area at Rokadia Traders — an imitation jewellery shop. In both cases, the shooters threw an envelope at the spot asking for Rs 1 crore.

According to the Kurar police, the accused have multiple criminal records of extortion and other serious charges against them.
