Justice Sen's resignation accepted

President Pratibha Patil on Saturday accepted the resignation letter of Kolkata high court judge justice Soumitra Sen and has forwarded it to the Law Ministry for action.

The Lok Sabha will now decide if the motion for Justice Sen's removal will be taken up on Monday or not.

Sen, then an advocate, was held guilty of misappropriating Rs 33.23 lakh in a 1983 case, while he was appointed a receiver by the High Court.
