Eight engines to control fire

A major fire broke out in a slum at Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar in Wadala at 12.52 am today. It took nearly three hours for the eight fire engines to control the blaze. The reason for the fire is not known as yet.

The fire brigade said nobody was injured, as people fled the spot as soon as the fire broke out. The fire brigade had a tough time entering the narrow lanes to the spot under the Wadala bridge, but luckily there were no casualties.
