Rajshri Production Company was penalised yesterday for shooting one of its serials, Bhagowali Baatein Apni Taqdeer at the Kaman Road railway station between Diva and Vasai, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Central Railway.
On August 3, the unit of Bhagowali allegedly approached Shishir Kumar Chaubey, the station manager of Kaman Road station for shooting their daily soap, which is telecast on Zee TV.

The shooting went on from 9 am to 4 pm.
As per the rule, for shooting on any railway platform or premises, one has to take permission from the railway authorities.
But allegedly, the unit managed to convince the stationmaster and shot for around 7 hours without proper permits.
According to sources, Chaubey had allegedly taken a bribe of Rs 40,000 for letting the unit shoot at the station.
According to a railway official who didn't want to be named, "We got to know of the shooting from one of the railway employees at the station who was not given the share of the money received from the unit.

After investigation, the station master had to face departmental enquiry and the serial unit had to pay a fine of Rs 25,000."
Reportedly, Chaubey has been suspended following enquiry by the railways.
The official added, "The station master was under the impression that, since the station is a small and distant one, nobody would come to know of the shooting and he would be able to make some quick money.

So he didn't inform the RPF, who are supposed to be updated in the event of such shootings for maintaining law and order."
It was after the RPF's intervention that the case was handed over to CR's vigilance department for further investigation and departmental enquiry.

When MiD DAY visited the railway station yesterday, none of the officials were willing to talk about the shooting, claiming they had no knowledge of the issue.
AK Singh, PRO, CR, "I can't comment on the issue."
PC Sinha, senior divisional security commissioner, RPF, said, "We had not been informed about any shooting at the railway station from the authorities prior to the act.
