The Brihanumumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to restart repair work on the Rs 20-lakh drainage line at Peddar Road in May after work had to be halted following complaints by commuters.
"We will start the work again in May during the summer vacations and would try to finish it at the earliest."
Rajeev denied that the BMC was to be blamed for the stoppage of work.
"Inconvenience was bound to happen but people should have co-operated a bit. We had already taken suggestions from the residents before implementing the work," he said.
The Additional Municipal Commissioner said that the Peddar Road and Malabar Hills resident's associations' were unhappy with the decision to stop work.
