Dadlani, who is in the news for his online campaign against the proposed Rs 350 crore-memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji off the Arabian Sea, told MiD DAY, "It's sad that the people at the polling centre did not recognise me and stopped me from voting because I did not have an identity card."
Dadlani finally exercised his constitutional right at 3.30 pm at a Peddar Road constituency after flaunting the necessary document.
The musician said he was also disappointed at the low turnout for the Assembly election. "Change is the need of the hour.
If we don't bring in new faces in the government, the same old faces will continue to rule us manipulatively. People should vote for a candidate and not the party," said Dadlani.
