Doctor Alappat Alan finds his place in the Limca Book of Records for single-handedly conducting 20,197 immunisations on children

"The immunisation programme started as a Rotary club project, but I eventually broke away and ran it independently.
u00a0
I've even worked on Christmas," added Alappat, waving a document filed on December 25, 2006.

"My friends and family thought I was crazy and obsessed, but this honour and the gratitude of patients makes it worth it."

>>u00a0As of June 6, 20,197 children have been immunised at the Kurar clinic
>> Alappat started the 100 sq-ft clinic in 1972. Now, it has tripled in size
>> Children are administered the following vaccines: BCG (tuberculosis), oral polio drops, DPT (diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus), measles, tetanus oxide
