ULLU Launches its Much Awaited Series ’Tandoor’

Home-grown OTT platform ULLU has now launched its much anticipated show ‘Tandoor. Present were the star cast of the show, the very handsome Tanuj Virwani and the gorgeous Rashmi Desai along with the CEO & Founder of ULLU, Vibhu Agarwal. The series has garnered massive curiosity and intrigue amongst the audiences since the time the makers dropped the teaser earlier this year. Its a fiction story, where a wife was allegedly killed by her politician husband. And in an attempt to dispose off the remains, her body was burnt in a Tandoor. While the story begins with two souls madly in love, who then get married and were on the verge of building a life together, but their love soon turned sour. Was the reason behind this bitterness the husbands aggressive & suspicious mind or was it the opposition party that planted the whole incident? Tandoor will depict the harsh truth behind the social life of a politician, the bellicose of an alcoholic, the naïve nature of an innocent wife, and the turmoil of emotions. Produced by ULLU Originals, directed by Nivedita Basu, the series ensemble cast includes Amit Riyan, Kamal Malik, Sonal Parihar, Shyam Mashalkar, and Ravi Gossain. With this stellar star cast and an equally amazing production team, we are sure the series will be loved and praised by all On making her digital debut, Rashami Desai as Palak Sahani stated, It takes a lot of thought to find a perfect script for me to sign any show. But as the script of ‘Tandoor came to me, I was absolutely sure that I want to play a part in it. My Character Palak is based in the 80s, and is outspoken, fearless and intelligent. Im quite sure that the audience will admire the change and versatility of an actor that Im trying to portray here. It was a great opportunity to work with Vibhu Sir and Nivedita Maam. My fans have always been my support system and I thank them for having faith in me. On playing the role of Sahil Sharma, Tanuj Virwani shared, I have always wanted to play a real-life character on screen. Sahil is extremely layered and offered me the opportunity to really explore a different facet of my acting personality-a darker side. I had to portray him at several different junctures of his life: before, during, and after the events of that fateful night. Anger, Rage, Jealousy, Love, Ownership, and Rivalry are some of the emotions that I tried to channel. I hope that the audiences accept me in this role and gives ‘Tandoor a roaring welcome.
