A number of events have been planned to celebrate the annual Queer Azaadi March that will take place on Saturday at August Kranti Maidan. Straight or queer, get ready for a week of events that include a rock concert, a film festival, a 'flashmob' performance and an open mic session with stand up comedians
Dancing queens
The first ever queer dance and theatre troupe in the country, Dancing Queens will perform their rendition of 'Bollywood Dhamaka' for the Pride March. Abeena, the transgender dancer who is gradually becoming quite a cult sensation, will be performing with her troupe as they pay homage to the Dancing Queens of Bollywood.
