Watch city-based band Dwija perform live at Swig
It's time to head into mid-week on a musical note. Pune-based Classic Rock band Dwija will play at Swig tonight. The band members include Priyabrata Satpati alias Rana (vocalist), Shreyas Iyengar (drummer), Manish Farande (guitarist) and Albert Dennis (bassist). This six-year old band has performed in various places across the city including at the NDA ball in 2009.

The band is more into old Rock 'n Roll, ballads, Soft Rock, Pop, Classic Rock, Blues and even Jazz. Bassist Dennis says the upcoming performance will feature Classic Rock and Blues. The band was originally formed by Sudheer Gaikwad, Tarun Mishra and Albert Dennis in 2005 and has seen many changes in the line up over the years.
"We even performed at the music release of the movie Anjaana-Anjaani and it was one of our most memorable performances so far," adds Dennis. The members are now in the process of creating original tracks, which they will complete later this year. The band admits that Pink Floyd, Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton have influenced their music.
