Apple releases iOS 10.2 software, adds new emojis and more

Apple iPhone 7Apple has released iOS 10.2 software for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This is the second major update for iOS 10 since it was released in October. Interestingly, iOS 10.2 brings along several India-specific features and a host of other developments including 100 new emojis, new effects in iMessage and improved camera features and new TV app.After upgrading to iOS 10.2 software, the Emergency SOS option can be found in the Settings -> General menu option. Apple users can personalize the SOS settings under this option. This update will be available for iPhone 5 and later devices, iPad fourth generation and later devices, and iPod touch 6th generation and later devices. To download and install the new update, users need to go to Settings > General > Software Update. The software can also be updated via iTunes by following the below mentioned steps:• Install iTunes• connect the iOS device to PC or Mac• In iTunes select the device's icon on the top bar• Click the Summary tab and click ‘Check for update.• Click Download and update.Users must ensure that their have at least 50 percent battery backup while updating to iOS 10.2. Also, users need to take a back up before downloading and installing the update.In case of iMessages, Apple launched new love and celebration full-screen effects. It also fixed an issue that prevented the keyboard from displaying inside messages at times. With iOS 10.2, Apple has fixed some bugs in the Mail app. It solves the problem where the wrong message would be selected after deleting a Mail conversation chain. The update also solved the issue that caused the Move sheet to show for longer time after sending a message via mail. The other bug that has been fixed is Safari, where some articles opened as empty pages. iOS 10.2 also helps correct the issue of the browser quiting unexpectedly.Apple Music has been updated as well and users can now swipe up the Now Playing screen, shuffle, repeat and access Up Next while listening to music. Apple introduced 100 new icons including new faces, food, animals, sport, and professions. In iOS 10.2, Apple has also incorporated three new wallpapers for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models.iOS 10.2 is now getting seeding to all supported iOS devices. So, update the Apple device to enjoy better and bug free features and facilities.
