The 24-year-old actor talked about working with the 9,000-pound Asian elephant at a press conference with co-star, Reese Witherspoon. 
Asked about his "on-set romance" with Tai, Rob shared, "I had a relationship with the elephant, but it was based purely on candy.

I strategically placed mints, after sucking on them for a bit and then stuck them on to my body, covering my entire chest all the time, and didn't tell anyone."
He revealed, "Every time, the elephant would be constantly sniffing me, I'd say 'I don't know! She just really likes me. It's crazy!' But I think she was just sniffing around for treats."
