Living legend Meryl Streep hits the red carpet at the International Rome Film Festival's premiere of Julie & Julia. Meryl, 60, will be awarded the Marcus Aurelius award for her lifetime achievement tomorrow, following in the footsteps of actors like Sean Connery and Al Pacino.

Julie & Julia, which premiered in the US this summer, was a way for Meryl to pay tribute to her mother. "She had the same joie de vivre," she said.
