A warrant has been issued against Govinda for his infamous assault incident of 2008
Looks like finally the law has caught up with the actor, with the Borivali court recently issuing a non-bailable warrant against him. However luckily for Govinda, his advocate was able to present papers for a stay order in the High Court, providing the actor some relief.
Govinda was said to have assaulted Rai for apparently misbehaving with some women artistes in January 2008.
Says a source, “After a formal complaint was lodged against him, Govinda was issued summons. But with the actor failing to show up before the magistrate, he was warned with the possibility of a non-bailable warrant.”
A fresh warrant has been issued but with his advocate intervening, Chi Chi has apparently been exempted from attending court. The next hearing on the matter is on September 16.u00a0
