Salman will do anything for his friends

Salman Khan agrees to do a cameo for good friend Deepshikha's directorial debut

Here's more proof that Salman Khan will do anything for his friends. The actor will make a special appearance in actress Deepshikha's directorial debut, Yeh Dooriyan.

Gushes the actress, "So many people dream of directing Salman and I have the opportunity to do so in my first film." Khan has promised to shoot for the movie after returns from Sri Lanka where he is currently filming for Ready.

"I told him that I was turning producer-director and gave him a brief outline of the story. I asked him if he'd do a special appearance, he readily agreed," says Deepshikha.

Salman will play himself and his cameo will be the highlight of the film and explores the subject of bonding. "I was trying to keep it under wraps but now it is out. But I know that once he says yes he does it."

Apart from making an appearance in the film, Sallu also recommended Inder Kumar (Eesha Kopphikhar's ex flame) for the film. "When I was talking to Salman about the script and characters, and how I was hunting for an actor to play a particular role, he suggested Inder, a close friend.



Deepshikha has known Khan since acting with him in Jaanam Samjha Karo in 1999. She later acted with him in Partner and that's when they hit if off. "I had a great time shooting with Salman and Govinda. We shared some great comic timing which was evident in the film."

She turned to filmmaking after starring in several television shows as well as in films playing character roles. "It was time for me to move on. My family was also into film production."

The cast of Yeh Dooriyan includes newbie Kaishav Arora with Chitrashi Rawat (Chak De! India), Delnaz Paul, Ayub Khan and Achint Kaur. The music has been scored by Raju Singh and the Meet brothers.

Deepshikha is inching her way into the Limca Book Of Records in a bid to be the only woman involved in all the departments of a film. She is the producer, director, actor, casting director, storywriter, screenplay writer, dialogue writer and post-production assistant for Yeh Dooriyan. Add to this, her contributions to the lyrics and music.
