I like to experiment with commercial and offbeat movies: Nana Patekar

"Since I belong to the theatre (background), I enjoy working on challenging films which give you a scope to explore (yourself) as an actor. I like to experiment with commercial as well as offbeat movies," says actor Nana Patekar, who is set to feature in Shekhar S Jha’s Wedding Anniversary. "It is not a typical commercial movie. We didn’t compromise while making this film. It is satisfying to be a part of such a film right after working in a commercial venture, Welcome Back. The music is soulful as well," he adds.

Jha had previously helmed Eik Dasttak and Prem Mayee. Wedding Anniversary marks his third directorial project. The filmmaker says the project revolves around a couple (played by Mahie Gill and Priyanshu Chatterjee) who plan to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Goa. Nana, who plays an old writer, barges into their house and serves as an inspiration.

The VK production is produced by Kumar V Mahant and Achut Naik, co-produced by Nana Bandekar and Kamlesh Jhaveri and presented by Bharat Shah.
