Her energy levels will matchu00a0 IPL's high octane opening ceremony today. Singer Manasi Scott is super excited about crooning to a large crowd at the Chennai stadium as well as catching up on the cricket action. She shares her excitement with CS:
Go baby go
I'm so excited to be singing once again at an IPL do. Last year, I sang in Navi Mumbai's DY Patil stadium when the Deccan Chargers and the Mumbai Indians faced each other. I was singing some of my own renditions and unbelievably 35,000 people sang along with me. I was stunned and moved to tears. I hope to energise the crowds and the players today as well. I've chosen four-five motivational songs for this occasion.
But do you know what's the best part of being a performer at these events? You get to sit in the VIP box and watch the match comfortably. I love to sit back and catch the action live.
Cheering on
I'm a half Sardar and half Tamilian. So no prizes for guessing who my favourites are ufffd Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab! Also, Dhoni is my favourite cricketer. He's so young, fit, full of energy and yet cool headed. Uh huh ufffdu00a0 did you say Sangakkara is playing this season too as the Deccan Charger's captain? Then I'm changing my tune. I'm going to cheer loud for DC. I think Kumar is one of the most polished cricketers around.
