The actor supported Dimple after Rajesh Khanna's demise; is thrilled to work with Rajinikanth in her next

There is an unlikely friendship brewing between two attractive ‘D’s of Bollywood — Dimple and Deepika.

Recently, Deepika Padukone was seen bonding with Dimple Kapadia at Rajesh Khanna’s chautha ceremony.

The two actors came close during the making of the film, Cocktail. Deepika says, “It’s true. Dimpleji and I have become very close. I am very fond of her. During the shooting of Cocktail ,she was very protective and looked after me. I want to be there for her during this trying time in her life.”

When asked about Jawani Deewani, in which she stars with ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika is tightlipped. “I’m not telling you anything. It’s too early to talk about that film. My character in it is completely different from Veronica in Cocktail. It’s a love story.”

Deepika’s next release is with Rajinikanth. “Working with him in Kochadaiyyan was very inspiring. The kind of energy he brings to the sets even after working for so many years is incredible. His illness hasn’t come in the way of his technique.”

Deepika might dub for the Tamil version of Kochadaiyyan. “I don’t know the language yet. The idea is to make this a big international film from an Indian production house. It isn’t only a Tamil film.”

Deepika is deeply wounded with reports that Siddharth Mallya has bought her a home. She says, “To hear people take away from my achievements by suggesting someone bought my house for me and that I am going to sell it, is insulting.”u00a0
