In the past few years, there have been a number of films based on books. On a recent trip to India, CS has the pleasure of asking author Jeffrey Archer if he has liked a recent film based on a book.

He remarked, “I though Life of Pi was very good. The book’s wonderful, but the film is so remarkable. You can’t equal a book because everyone has a personal opinion about the film and you can’t please everyone.

But it does not alter the fact that one can make some great films from major masterpieces. To Kill A Mocking Bird is one of the greatest books of all times and even the film was very good. So you can pretty well get there.”u00a0
