Shahid Kapoor gifts his mother a brand-new car

Shahid Kapoor has gifted his mother Neelima Azim a car. Although there were reports of tension between the maa-beta after he chose to do his father's film over hers, they seemed to have now resolved their differences.



Says an insider, "He surprised his mom by buying her a Mercedes. Shahid has been spending a lot of time with Neelima after coming back from his Edinburgh schedule for Mausam. He even showed her the rushes of the film on a DVD, which she liked. He has been hanging out a lot with her and his younger brother Ishaan."

A little embarrassing
Talking about Shahid's gift, Neelima says, "I really can't comment. It's a little embarrassing. But yes, he's always making these sweet and caring gestures full of love for both Ishaan and me and vice-versa. I think like any other family we also love to shower love on each other. These are normal acts for our near and dear ones."
All praise for her son she adds, "He showed me a few scenes of his film on his DVD and I think he looks amazing. I can't really comment beyond that. But as a mother I definitely will always want him to succeed in anything he does."
