A loud explosion rocked the offices of the Greek state real estate corporation in Athens, police has said.
The police said they suspected a booby-trapped car had detonated outside the corporation offices yesterday but did not immediately rule out a gas explosion.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The real estate corporation was recently implicated in a land swap scandal between the government and an influential Orthodox monastery that lost the Greek state millions of euros in revenue.
Bombings and other acts of violence have increased in Athens since the police shot dead a teenager in December.
Earlier this week, a previously unknown group claimed responsibility for bombing the office of a deputy with the ruling conservative party, the brother of the current foreign minister.
