A simple drink driving offence took a nasty turn last night after a Tibetan student was pulled over by a traffic cop right in front of Ashok Nagar Traffic Police Station with both claiming that they hit one another.
A simple drink driving offence took a nasty turn last night after a Tibetan student was pulled over by a traffic cop right in front of Ashok Nagar Traffic Police Station with both claiming that they hit one another.
Traffic cop Shiva Mutthu who pulled over the suspicious rider at 12.15 am said, "This boy called his two friends after I seized his bike and they came here very fast in an auto and they started shoving me."

However, Tenzin Saman (22), student from St Josephsu00a0 who was pulled over alleged, "I admit I was a little drunk and I called two of my friends but he assaulted us first and that's when we fought back."
His friend Tenzin Norbu also stated the same and said he was hit with the lathi on his shoulder.
Sub Inspector V Ramanujaiah said, "This happened right outside our station." He added, "The bike has been seized and the case will be registered in the court tomorrow morning."
