A hit-and-run accident at the Goregaon flyover last night left a 22-year-old girl dead and her friend severely injured.
After attending a company seminar at N L College, Malad, Ankush Rathore (23) was dropping his colleague Sylvia to her sister's residence in Santacruz on his motorcycle at 9.40 pm yesterday when a speeding car hit it from behind and zoomed past them.
"Due to the impact Sylvia, who was riding pillion, flew off the bike and landed around two metres away on the flyover.

It was an Alto that hit us, but I'm not too sure," said Rathore, who worked with the girl at a Vashi-based company.
