World champion D Gukesh ended his spate of draws by defeating Thai Dai Van Nguyen of Czechia, but overnight joint leader Arjun Erigaisi was shocked by Vladimir Fedoseev of Slovenia in the fifth round of Tata Steel Masters chess tournament here.
