Indian tennis great Sania Mirza has spoken about the challenges the pandemic has posed for sportspersons like her.

“I can’t speak for everybody but I know that a lot of sportspersons, myself included have struggled through this period. There was always this fright about falling ill, travel restrictions while getting to events and many more issues. Hence, I feel along with keeping one’s self fit physically, focusing on mental health was very important and continues to be so,” Sania Mirza said at the launch of the Tennis Premier League’s third season here in Mumbai on Monday.
