Her funny side notwithstanding though, the ranking surge from 500-plus a couple of months ago to 65 next week, makes Boisson a serious Grand Slam contender too

France’s World No. 361 Lois Boisson, 21, will be understandably disappointed after her giant-killing spree at Roland Garros ended in the semi-finals on Thursday. However, she will be glad to have broken the internet with reasons beyond the tennis court.
In April, during an Open de Rouen match, Britain’s Harriet Dart was heard on the courtside camera asking the chair umpire to tell her opponent, Boisson, to use a deodorant as she “smells really bad.” Dart lost that match 0-6, 3-6 and later even lost face when online fans called her insensitive.
Boisson though, who did not react on court, later Instagrammed this photoshopped picture (below), holding a deodorant can with the caption, “@dove apparently need a collab.” Boisson’s virtual volley was on point, Dart apologised.
