Tennison rallied from a game down to beat Das 6-11, 11-4, 11-6, 16-18, 11-1, 11-6 in a see-saw battle. India completed a grand double when Gujarat’s Manush Shah defeated Juan Jesus Gomez of Mexico 4-1 in the men’s singles final. Shaw won 11-7, 11-9, 11-13, 11-7, 11-9.

City paddler Reeth Tennison clinched the gold medal after defeating compatriot Ankita Das 4-2 in the women’s singles final of the ITTF Ecuador International Open 2021 at the Complejo Deportivo Totoracocha, Cuenca, Ecuador, recently. 


Tennison rallied from a game down to beat Das 6-11, 11-4, 11-6, 16-18, 11-1, 11-6 in a see-saw battle. India completed a grand double when Gujarat’s Manush Shah defeated Juan Jesus Gomez of Mexico 4-1 in the men’s singles final. Shaw won 11-7, 11-9, 11-13, 11-7, 11-9.
