Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli kicked off a pre-season football friendly on Saturday, dressed in a red mini-skirt and killer heels.

Bartoli, who clinched her maiden Grand Slam title with victory over Germany’s Sabine Lisicki in the Wimbledon final last weekend, performed the ceremonial kick-off in the match between Marseille and Porto.
The 28-year-old wore a Marseille shirt after spending the earlier part of the day training with the French Ligue 1 club at their base.

Following her win over Lisicki, Bartoli has put in other appearances — like at Novak Djokovic Foundation’s London gala dinner last week — where she has been dressed impeccably.
These appearances come on the heels of BBC’s John Inverdale’s sexist comments that Bartoli was “never going to be a looker” after her final win.
