After a solid show in Charlotte last month, Narain Karthikeyan carried the momentum to the Lone Star State with his best finish of the season.
He finished the race in 11th place in the WinStar World Casino 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday.
After a strong performance in Thursday's practice sessions, the Starbeast Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado hit the track later that afternoon for qualifying. Karthikeyan finished in 19th spot for the race, 0.6 seconds behind the man on pole.
"We did a good job today considering it is basically our second race on a 1.5 mile oval. It is my best finish so far, but more than that, I gained much more confidence," said Karthikeyan.
