By clinching victory in what can be called Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel's most dominant period, they have
raised the hopes of their supporters in India and also proved that when it comes to developing a car mid-season, there is no better team than theirs!

Cynics would claim that Alonso's triumph in Silverstone was more due to Red Bull's blown diffuser being temporarily disallowed, but with the rules now reversed, Ferrari could well be playing catch up to Red Bull and Vettel yet again.
The weekend's upcoming German Grand Prix should reveal the truth of this matter. It was last year's German Grand Prix where Ferrari scored a 1-2 finish, after the team ordered Felipe Massa to handover victory to Fernando Alonso. Ferrari's mid-season development is most acclaimed amongst all the teams on the grid and Kimi Raikkonen's win in 2007, Felipe Massa's near win in 2008 and Fernando Alonso's late charge for theu00a0 2010 title which Vettel won, all testify in favour of the team's strength to develop their racing cars through the season.
At Silverstone, the Italian team had brought a new aerodynamic package whichu00a0 Alonso gave due credit to post his win. The evolved Ferrari 150 Italia also uses its harder tyre better and this was proved by Massa and Alonso's lap times in Silverstone. Overall, the point I make is that Ferrari has clearly made much progress on their car and look like the best team to beat Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel going into the second half of the 2011 season.
The bigger trump card in the Ferrari stables is Fernando Alonso.
The double World Champion is undoubtedly the most complete driver on the grid and has time and again shown his talent by getting incompetent racing cars to finish higher than they would deserve.
Yes, one could argue that Alonso is an almost unbeatable 92 points behind championship leader Vettel and Alonso will be playing catch up all the way till the end of the season.
