Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) clinched a place in the Champions League final as Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi scored to give them a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the second leg of their semi-final tie on Wednesday, securing a 3-1 aggregate triumph.
Arsenal threw everything at the Parisians right from the off. Declan Rice headed wide in the third minute before PSG custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma produced two sensational saves: first, to deny Gabriel Martinelli from close range and then thwarting Martin Odegaard’s drive from outside the box, all inside the opening eight minutes.
