Paris Saint-Germain (<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Paris+St+Germain-all">PSG</a>) has seen a rise in their popularity on social media even before Lionel Messi arrived at the club.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/lionel+messi-all">Messi</a>, 34, who left Barcelona after 21 years last week, signed a two-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.&nbsp;
According to French newspaper, L&rsquo;Equipe, over a million new accounts are following PSG&rsquo;s Instagram pages, with 200,000 new followers on Facebook. Within three days the club has 1.4 million new followers on Twitter and YouTube. PSG&rsquo;s Spanish language Twitter page has seen a rise of followers as LaLiga viewers turn their attention to Ligue 1.&nbsp;
Interestingly, according to a report in Goal.com, Juventus had 2.2 million followers across their social media on the day of Cristiano Ronaldo&rsquo;s arrival in 2018.
