West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase made a significant leap in the latest ICC T20I rankings, moving to a career-best second position among all-rounders following a blistering performance in the series opener against Australia, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the updated rankings on Wednesday.
Chase's explosive knock of 60 runs off just 32 deliveries in the first T20I propelled him to 221 rating points, narrowing the gap between him and the format’s top-ranked all-rounder, India’s Hardik Pandya, who leads with 252 points. The 32-year-old Barbadian is now within striking distance of claiming the No. 1 spot for the first time in his T20I career.
Australia’s emerging all-rounder Cameron Green also enjoyed a notable rise in the same category. His match-winning half-century in the same encounter against West Indies saw him surge eight places to reach the 28th position.
