A West Indies cricketer, currently part of the national squad in the ongoing home series against Australia, has been accused of multiple instances of rape and sexual assault, according to reports from several Caribbean media outlets.

According to a video report by SportsMax TV, a prominent Caribbean-based sports broadcaster, the cricketer in question hails from Guyana and is actively involved in the current West Indies national team setup. The gravity of the allegations lies in the reported number of accusers, at least 11 women, including one minor, who have come forward with claims of rape, sexual assault, or other forms of unwanted sexual advances.

The initial allegations appear to have been documented by Kaieteur Sports, a newspaper based in Guyana. The outlet quoted chilling accounts: “I have heard accounts from no fewer than eleven women, one of them a teenager, who allege that they have been sexually assaulted, raped, or subjected to unwanted sexual advances by him.”
