South Africa`s explosive batsman Heinrich Klaasen on Monday announced his retirement from the longest format of the game. He is known for his powerful strokes in the limited-overs format and has played just four test matches for South Africa.

After Dean Elgar, Heinrich Klaasen is the second senior South African to retire from Test cricket. Elgar`s test career came to an end against India in the two-match test series which ended in a 1-1 draw.
