Former India women’s team head coach WV Raman is confident Harmanpreet Kaur & Co are favourites to win their maiden World Cup final against South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.

“India will start as favourites tomorrow [Sunday] for the simple reason that this Indian team has been consistent over a period of time. This is a side that has obviously played good cricket in key games. Beating Australia [in the semi-final by five wickets], chasing a huge target [of 339] should have catapulted their confidence sky-high. They will go into this final with a good, strong state of mind,” Raman told Sunday mid-day over the phone from Coimbatore on Saturday.
