Shubman Gill (76), Jos Buttler (64) and Sai Sudharsan (48) light up Ahmedabad with batting firepower as GT post mammoth 224-6 to beat SRH by 38 runs and climb to No. 2 in points table

Riding on an 87-run stand by openers Shubman Gill (76 off 38 balls) and Sai Sudharsan (23-ball 48) along with one-down batter Jos Buttler’s quickfire 37-ball 64, Gujarat Titans beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in the Indian Premier League here on Friday.
Gill, Sudharsan and Buttler fired in unison with their explosive batting to propel GT to 224-6. In reply, SRH managed only 186-6 in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Abhishek Sharma top-scored for SRH with 74 off 41 deliveries, while pacers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna claimed two wickets each for the hosts. The victory ensured GT moved up to second position on the points table with seven wins from 10 matches.
