India have been on an impressive winning streak since January 2024, beginning with a 3-0 T20I series sweep against Afghanistan at home. The highlight came in June 2024 when India lifted their second ICC T20 World Cup, winning eight of nine matches

3-0 against Afghanistan (Jan 2024) 

Playing at home, Rohit Sharma & Co registered six-wicket victories in Mohali and Indore in the first two games. In the third at Bengaluru, the scores were tied and India won via a second Super Over.

T20WC World Cup (June 2024)

India played nine matches during the tournament, winning eight — Ireland, Pakistan, USA, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Australia, England and South Africa — while one game (vs Canada) was abandoned due to rain, en route their second ICC trophy in this format.
