Playing at home, Rohit Sharma & Co registered six-wicket victories in Mohali and Indore in the first two games. In the third at Bengaluru, the scores were tied and India won via a second Super Over.
India played nine matches during the tournament, winning eight — Ireland, Pakistan, USA, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Australia, England and South Africa — while one game (vs Canada) was abandoned due to rain, en route their second ICC trophy in this format.
