Sri Ma Vidyalaya (Thane) secured a hard-fought six-wicket win over St Joseph’s Convent High School (Bandra) to book their spot in the semi-finals of the girls U-16 Mumbai School Sports Association Manormaben Apte cricket tournament at Jolly Gymkhana (Vidyavihar) on Thursday.

After electing to bat first, St Joseph’s found runs difficult to come by against a disciplined Sri Ma bowling unit and finished on 51-4 in their quota of 10 overs. Tanvita Yuvraja top scored with 25 off 21 balls. Kavya Bhagwat (1-22) and Vallari Deshmukh (1-24) were the pick of the bowlers for the Thane outfit.
