Former India wicketkeeper and current commentator Dinesh Karthik offered clarity on a viral video involving Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Jitesh Sharma, who was seen being denied entry at Lord’s during the ongoing third Test between India and England. The video, which drew attention on social media, was captioned “Lord’s security guard didn’t allow Jitesh Sharma to enter the stadium. This is so embarrassing."

However, Karthik, who is part of the official commentary panel for the series, clarified that the incident did not occur at the stadium’s main gate, as many assumed, but rather near the media centre entrance.

"These are some issues with social media that a lot face,” Karthik wrote on social media, adding, "I invited jitesh to the comm box , he had come , and I came and met him down and took him to the comm box and he met everyone there. Btw this is below the media center , not the entrance to the ground."
