The Delhi and Districts Cricket Association sacked former opening batsman Ashu Dani from the chairman's post of the U-19 selection committee for his alleged involvement in the Indian Heavens Premier League (IHPL), a privately organised T20 tournament in Kashmir, which amounts conflict of interest.
While Dani denied his involvement in the organisation of the league, calling his designation as the tournament's president, the pending payment of former international players such as Chris Gayle, Jesse Ryder and Kashmir's Parvez Rasool has damaged his image.
