Australia’s Glenn Maxwell sharpens his bowling skills ahead of the T20 WC 2026

Glenn Maxwell said that he may bowl with a new ball if they get a chance to play on spin-friendly pitches. The Australian also said that he loves claiming wickets. The T20 World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 in the Indian subcontinent, Australia`s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is sharpening his spin bowling skills to become more effective in the powerplay overs.

"I think in the subcontinent you might be able to get a little bit more out of it (wicket) as a spinner early on," said Maxwell as quoted by cricket.com.au.

He added that he may bowl with the new ball if given the chance on spin-friendly pitches, and that he enjoys taking wickets.
